<p>The Engineering Pathways Internship offers students the opportunity to build experience and knowledge through a range of skills in a collaborative and supportive environment. Interns will gain hands-on experience with fostering leadership, teamwork, decision-making, classroom assistance, and organizational skills in our summer bridge EGR 110 course and our SSA STEM Camp. The intern will assist the professor in the EGR course and the facilitator of the SSA STEM summer camp. The intern will also help and assist in the transition and set up of the new STEM space. The intern will assist the professor in the EGR course and the facilitator of the SSA STEM summer camp. </p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist in set up and breakdown of all EGR 110 labs</p> </li><li> <p>Help create and organize activities in EGR 110 and SSA STEM Camp</p> </li><li> <p>Help set up new STEM space in Frost.</p> </li><li> <p>Support students with their activities, homework and projects, both in and out of the classroom.</p> </li><li> <p>Support students during lectures, labs, and STEM Camp activities as requested by the instructor(s)</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure that snacks and materials are stocked, labeled, inventoried and organized.</p> </li><li> <p>Other duties are assigned by the director.</p> </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED: </p> <ul> <li> <p>Must be a current student or recent Holyoke Community College graduate in the Engineering Pathways Program</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently and in groups</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to mentor and support students</p> </li><li> <p>Good communication skills</p> </li><li> <p>Good organizational skills</p> </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED: </p> <ul> <li> <p>Dedication to inspiring students to learn about Engineering </p> </li><li> <p> Experience in either tutoring or supplemental instruction</p> </li><li> <p>Associates degree in STEM or related field</p> </li></ul> <p>Position reports to the Director of STEM Starter Academy</p> <p>Hourly Rate: $15/hour</p> <p>Hours: Up to 5 hours/week for 30 weeks</p> <p>Funding: Grant</p> <p>Part-Time/Non-Benefited position</p> <p>APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:</p> <p>Applicants interested in applying MUST submit the following documents online to: www.hcc.edu</p> <p>Resume, Cover Letter and List of 3 Professional References with names, e-mail addresses, and phone numbers.</p>
