<p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>This individual will train within all areas of the Trust & Wealth Management Division to obtain a practical understanding of the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in an entry level Trust Administrator, Business Development, Trust Operations or Portfolio Manager position in a Trust & Wealth Management Division of a financial institution.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Through observation and assignments, learn officer and staff function for Business Development, Operations, Administration and Portfolio Management, management viewpoints, company and Division policies and practices </li><li>Assist in performing Business Development efforts, including preparing and attending new business presentations as well as periodic meetings with established clients to obtain knowledge as it relates to negotiations, relationship building and sales </li><li>Train with Administrative Officers to acquire knowledge regarding wills, trusts, conservatorships, retirement plans (including IRA documents) and related documents </li><li>Assist in performing administration of estates, personal trust, conservatorships, retirement plans and charitable trusts </li><li>Train with Trust Operations to acquire an understanding of all aspects of Trust & Wealth Management operations and accounting functions </li><li>Train with Portfolio Managers to acquire knowledge of investment analysis and research, portfolio design and on-going investment management </li><li>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions </li></ul> <p>POSITION REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Undergraduate Senior or Graduate level student with a minimum GPA of 3.0 </li><li>6 or more college credit hours in accounting preferred </li><li>3-6 college credit hours in finance and/or investments preferred </li><li>Ability to work primarily in Huntington, but also in Charleston </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule, between 15-20 hours per week </li><li>Work is generally performed indoors in environmentally controlled conditions </li><li>Typically, the employee may sit to perform the work. However, there may be some standing, walking, bending and carrying of light items in the course of the work </li></ul> <p>CRITICAL SKILLS/EXPERTISE:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills </li><li>Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power Point </li><li>Ability to interact appropriately with a wide range of staff through the company, as well as Trust & Wealth Management clients </li></ul>
