Number 16581</p> <p>Share</p> <p>more</p> <p>The Rohde & Schwarz Frederick Production Team produces custom VCS (Voice Communication System) Racks and other Rohde & Schwarz products for governmental and non-governmental projects. We are looking for someone to join our world-class operations team to continue to deliver these high-quality products. This individual will be joining our production team and will focus his/her talents on the work center responsible for the production of VCS racking/cabling and delivering system support devices. They will be responsible for executing against our existing build and delivery processes. Working within our continuous improvement program, it will be important for this individual to use LEAN practices to help meet our customers' requirements.</p> <p>Your tasks</p> <ul> <li>Plan and coordinate production of voice communication systems, including complex rack and system assemblies, to ensure on-time delivery and efficient manufacturing execution. </li><li>Create, maintain, and control SAP master data, including item masters, bills of material (BOMs), routings, labor standards, operations, material masters, and production schedules. </li><li>Ensure accuracy and alignment between SAP data, engineering documentation, drawings, sales orders, and regulatory requirements. </li><li>Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Management, Purchasing, Inventory, and warehouse teams to ensure material, resources, and configuration readiness. </li><li>Review system and rack drawings and sales orders to verify production readiness and support accurate warehouse material pulls. </li><li>Investigate and resolve inventory, configuration, and production variances. Implement approved engineering changes and update item master and BOMs accordingly. </li><li>Coordinate BOM and SKU approvals and manage material availability to prevent or mitigate shortages. </li><li>Monitor production progress, identify risks and delays, communicate status and priorities to management, and support issue resolution. </li><li>Assist in management of inventory levels and analyze planning, production, and variance data to generate monthly inventory, variance reports. </li><li>Support project coordination, including purchase requisitions, internal orders, project number setup, and DELTEK project coordination. </li><li>Identify process improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Exciting insights into Rohde & Schwarz</p> <p>Our colleagues provide insider information about:</p> <ul> <li>Daily adventures and challenges </li><li>Our passionate team </li><li>The technologies behind the innovative projects and solutions </li></ul> <p>Your browser does not support the video tag</p> <p>Your qualifications</p> <ul> <li>BS in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience. </li><li>3+ years of experience in production planning, manufacturing planning, or SAP </li><li>Hands-on experience with SAP, including bills of material (BOMs), routings, item/material masters, and production scheduling. </li><li>Experience supporting the production of complex assemblies in a regulated environment (Air Traffic Control or similar preferred). </li><li>Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. </li><li>Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills. </li><li>Experience investigating and resolving inventory, cost, or production variances. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard business tools. </li><li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. </li><li>U.S. Citizenship or permanent work authorization required. </li></ul> <p>Interested?</p> <p>We are looking forward to receiving your application!</p> <p>The total compensation for this position is $21.00-$29.00 per hour. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level.
