Includes conducting routine inventories, supply room and freezer/refrigerator upkeep, creating purchase orders, obtaining authorizations, and use of various web, email, and phone-based order placement services. </li><li>Process incoming consumable and matrix requests, from laboratory personnel. Collaborate with requestors and vendors to ensure accurate order placement and timely product shipments. </li><li>Monitor and maintain LCG purchase log and provide real-time status updates (Excel-based). </li><li>Assist with consumable standing order and laboratory safety equipment contract negotiation, implementation, and maintenance. </li><li>Track spending and assist LCG management with compilation of associated reports/metrics (Excel-based). </li><li>Maintain purchase orders and packing slips, reconciling all arrivals with orders placed to ensure accuracy. </li><li>Communicate with vendors to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and resolve discrepancies and backorders. </li><li>Research new vendors, as needed, to ensure optimal product pricing and availability. </li><li>Review and archive laboratory logbooks. </li><li>Receive matrix shipments and maintain associated documentation, in accordance with GLP and safety standards. </li><li>Provide back-up assistance for Laboratory Coordination Group personnel, as needed. </li></ul> <p>Work Location</p> <ul> <li>This job will be 100% QPS-office/facility based </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Combination of relevant education and experience that provides sufficient knowledge and skills to ensure incumbent's success in this role, such as:</p> </li><li> <p>High school diploma and demonstrated laboratory experience</p> </li><li> <p>University/college degree in relevant scientific discipline and/or demonstrated laboratory experience</p> </li><li> <p>Position will include work with both chemically and biologically hazardous materials.
