<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>This position reports to the Director of Institutional Research and Data Analytics and serves as the campus administrator and subject matter expert for survey research, institutional assessment, course evaluations, and faculty credentialing. The Statistician supports the analytical and reporting functions of Institutional Research by performing multiple methods of data collection, analysis, and interpretation to support institutional surveys, assessments, state reporting, and credentialing compliance.</p> <p>Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Survey, Assessment, and Course Evaluation Administration. Oversees the administration of institutional surveys, assessments, and course evaluations. Responsibilities include designing survey and assessment instruments, coordinating distribution schedules, managing course evaluation processes, monitoring response rates, and ensuring data accuracy. The position supports annual assessment cycles by collecting and summarizing outcome data and collaborating with faculty and staff to ensure alignment with institutional goals. The analyst maintains project schedules, manages survey platforms, and ensures consistent, ethical, and efficient processes across the college. </li><li>Data Analysis and Reporting. Analyzes data from surveys, assessments, and course evaluations and prepares institutional reports such as the Fact Book and Graduate Placement Report. The position ensures data integrity, maintains reporting databases, and presents findings through written reports, dashboards, and summaries. The analyst interprets trends, documents methods, and provides clear information to support institutional planning, accountability, and decision-making. </li><li>Institutional Effectiveness and Faculty Credentialing. Supports institutional effectiveness efforts by collecting and managing data for accreditation, program review, and planning activities. The position coordinates faculty credentialing by verifying qualifications, maintaining documentation required for SACSCOC and state compliance, and ensuring accurate assignment records. Responsibilities also include preparing credentialing reports, maintaining secure records, and providing analytical support for institutional evaluation, strategic planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>This position requires a bachelor's degree with statistical courses and experience in statistics.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>An ideal candidate will have experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and SQL or similar data-extraction methods. The successful candidate will have experience with survey and course evaluation platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, SmartEvals, SogoSurvey, SurveyMonkey). Requires knowledge of assessment methodologies, learning outcomes evaluation, survey and assessment design, sampling strategies, data collection, and statistical analysis. Strong expertise in Microsoft Office is essential. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational and project management skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to collegiality, confidentiality, and continuous learning. This position functions under the limited supervision of the Director of Institutional Research and Data Analytics and must exercise initiative, independence, sound judgment, and discretion in managing survey, assessment, and credentialing activities.
