<p>This (these) are a part-time, non-tenure position which is appointed on a per semester basis.</p> <p>Position(s) will be to teach laboratory section(s) (3 contact hours) of CH113 General Chemistry I, and/or CH151 Chemistry for the Health Sciences. The laboratories sessions are held during the hours of 8:00AM to 2:00PM and 5:30PM to 8:20PM (CH113 and CH151) or on Sunday, back to back, times are 12:00PM - 2:45PM and 2:50PM - 5:35PM (CH151).</p> <p>Position will be to teach CH241 Quantitative Chemistry lecture (3 contact hours) and laboratory (3 contact hours; 4 hour session) times to be determined.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Teach 3 to 6 contact hours per semester of undergraduate level laboratory coursework. </li><li>Integrate the Mercy core values of respect, integrity, compassion, justice and service in all aspects of interaction. </li><li>Advise and mentor students. </li><li>Teach at the Lakewood, NJ campus. </li></ul> <p>Miscellaneous/secondary responsibilities that are sometimes involved in this job:</p> <ul> <li>Proper handling and disposal of all laboratory generated wastes are per GCU policy, consistent with all applicable local, state and federal laws. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's or doctorate degree in chemistry or biochemistry; </li><li>Demonstrated successful teaching experience at the college/university level; </li><li>Experience using education software programs, such as Blackboard. </li><li>Competence in teaching with computers. </li></ul> <p>Applicants interested in applying MUST submit the following documents via online:</p> <ul> <li>A letter of introduction which outlines courses you have experience teaching at the college or university level </li><li>Current C.V. </li><li>Recent letters of recommendation from three professional references with contact information. </li></ul> <p>Must be US work authorized</p>
