A-State participates in E-Verify.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment, such as tractors, trailers, gasoline shovels, backhoes, front-end loaders, and dump trucks and other heavy mechanized equipment. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Adhere to the vision and guiding principles of the A-State dept. of Finance and Administration Sort and bail recycling material </li><li>Maintain and clean recycling building </li><li>Maintain and service equipment in recycling area Keep lot around recycling building clean and orderly </li><li>Help load recycled material for transport </li><li>Service public recycling bins at FM facility </li><li>Employees will wear daily, the assigned uniform as designated in the Uniform FMOP </li><li>Exceptions will be in writing for approval by the AVC </li><li>Ensure all time cards, work orders and other assigned paper work are correct and turned in on time </li><li>Attend team meetings, open forum meetings, assigned training and any meetings the grounds manager instructs </li><li>Ensure tools and materials needed to perform daily work assignments are accounted for and in good working order </li><li>Develop computer knowledge and skills in Banner System, FAMIS, Blackboard, Microsoft Office Suites and general internet usage </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</p> <p>Knowledge of procedures for operating heavy, complex, mechanized equipment in accord with manual, safety regulations, and other instructions, and the operation of heavy equipment, driving, and moving mechanized equipment</p> <p>Ability to operate heavy, complex mechanized equipment, service and perform minor maintenance on heavy equipment, and understand and carry out oral and written directions and explanations</p> <p>Skill in the operation of heavy equipment</p> <p>General Days/Hours:</p> <p>Monday - Friday</p> <p>6:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.</p> <p>Additional hours as requested and/or need</p> <p>Regular and reliable attendance</p> <p>Other:</p> <p>Please note: all position postings close at 12:00 A.M.
