<p>Current Saint Francis Employees - Please click HERE to login and apply.</p> <p>Full Time</p> <p>Days</p> <p>Work schedule: Monday-Friday; 7:00am-3:30pm.</p> <p>No weekend or Call requirements.</p> <p>Hours can vary based upon program requirements. i.e. recruitment.</p> <p>Job Summary: Manages all aspects of the School of Medical Laboratory Science and coordinates Laboratory educational programs with the QI/Safety/Education Coordinator.</p> <p>Minimum Education: Baccalaureate degree in medical technology or in a related biological/chemical science from an accredited college or university. Masters degree required within one year from date of employment.</p> <p>Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: At least twelve months of appropriate clinical education which culminates in certification by an agency acceptable to the secretary (HEW) or agency approved by NAACLS. Meets the qualification requirements of CLIA '88 for general supervisor. Meets NAACLS requirements for a School of Medical Laboratory Science Program Director.</p> <p>Work Experience: 3 - 4 years as a medical technologist. Meets NAACLS requirements for a School of Medical Laboratory Science Program Director</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Effective communication skills and leadership qualities. Ability to maintain cooperative Working Relationships among those involved in the educational program. Ability to establish priorities, solve problems, and make decisions.</p> <p>Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Supervises student activities and coordinates their assignments in the laboratory. Assumes responsibilities for the daily operation of the school of medical laboratory technology. Interviews prospective students and selects qualified applicants for the program. Evaluates student performance in a constructive manner, disciplines fairly, and recognizes exemplary performance. Plans for the present and future needs of the school with regard to equipment, staff and supplies. Assumes responsibility for the administrative functions of the program. Directs the academic activities of the school.</p> <p>Decision Making: Independent judgment in making decisions from many diversified alternatives that are subject to general review in final stages only.</p> <p>Working Relationships: Direct Supervision of others - No. of people supervised: (10-12). Prepares and gives performance evaluations. Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction.
