UR!</p> <p>The Facilities Division is hiring four (4) Security Specialist positions that performs as First Responder to all security & health & welfare incidents utilizing sidearm, long-gun & non- lethal weapons in the performance of duties; acts as non-deployable Security Forces experience base ensuring successful security mission when Military force is deployed by performing duties IAW AFI/ANGI 31-101, AF131- 201, AFI36-2226, AFI31-117, & local policies & directives.</p> <p>Job duties include but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Performs security duties at the Kentucky Air National Guard (KYANG) including Entry Control, Base Patrol, emergency & routine response duties IAW USAF/DOD/Local Policies & Directives. </li><li>Provides armed response force to deter, detect, send alarm & neutralize threats against USAF Protection Level 1 through Protection Level 4 assists & resources. </li><li>Acts as First Responder to Active Shooter/Hostage Or Terroristic threats. </li><li>Acts as a response force to all alarm activations. </li><li>Utilizes electronic sampling devices for explosive material detection. </li><li>Preserves evidence & record of circumstances surrounding the discovery. </li><li>May perform BDOC duties as Dispatcher. </li><li>Utilizes Fixed Base Station radio stack as well as MetroSafe LMR to communicate with on & off base personnel. </li><li>Monitors MONACO Fire systems/video camera observation & recorders, E-911 System, & utilizes DBIDS Identification system. </li><li>Accomplishes National Crime Information Center checks as required for Base Entry/criminal history/USAF requirements. </li><li>Responsible for KYANG Emergency Reporting Point system, determining & dispatching appropriate resources as needed. </li><li>Generates & maintains Security Forces daily blotter. </li><li>Serves as coordination point with all civilian EMS & Law Enforcement services. </li><li>Utilizes radio, land line, mass notification systems, & USAF Desktop Alert System. </li><li>Performs as Alarm system operator utilizing interactive ADVANTOR alarm system. </li><li>Performs system operational checks to ensure accurate operation. </li><li>Prioritizes response activities & dispatches appropriate patrol actions to generated alarms & conditions. </li><li>Utilizes USAF & DOD computer networks. </li><li>Complete 208 hours annually of Air Force directed Home Station Training & local initiatives IAW applicable directives. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>EDUCATION: High school graduate.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: NONE</p> <p>Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE</p> <p>Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in law enforcement, security, the military or a related field will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.</p> <p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be twenty-one years of age.</p> <p>If you have questions about this advertisement, please contact Crystal Simpson at crystal.l.simpson10.nfg@army.mil or 502-607-1541.</p> <p>An Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D</p>
