<p>About our Company:</p> <p>Ponte Family Estate Winery opened in 2003 and is a California based company operating in the heart of the Temecula Wine Country. We have been farming our vineyards since 1984 and are a real working winery, growing and producing over 20 estate grown varietals within certified sustainable facilities.</p> <p>We are located right next to our Four Diamond, 90 room, boutique hotel Ponte Vineyard Inn. We are surrounded by 300 acres of mature vineyards and views of rolling hills. We are a short drive from most of Southern California and enjoy hosting folks who want a break from city life. Our guests visit us seeking a relaxing day or overnight stay in the country.</p> <p>We have become the benchmark for great service among Temecula wineries. Our associates are dedicated to delighting guests by providing excellent hospitality and serving great wine and food in a beautiful environment.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>Ponte Winery is looking for a Seasonal, Full-Time Harvest Intern to join our team for 2025 Harvest season. Must have a US Work Permit.</p> <p>Compensation: $16.50 + available lodging on property</p> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>8-12 hour days </li><li>Early August - Mid November </li><li>Some Morning Shifts (5:00am - 2:00pm) </li><li>Some Evening Shifts?(12:00pm- 8:00pm) </li></ul> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Fruit Processing </li><li>Sanitation of processing lines/cellar equipment/cleaning of winemaking area </li><li>Cap Management/Punch downs/Pump overs </li><li>Barrel work </li><li>Wine movements, Additions/Inoculations </li><li>Able to execute both oral and written instructions </li><li>Digging, draining and pressing of tanks </li><li>Other duties, as assigned </li></ul> <p>Safety</p> <ul> <li>Follows Winery, department, and legally mandated safety policies and procedures </li><li>Reports malfunctioning equipment to supervisor immediately </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prior harvest experience is preferred. </li><li>Ability to work in harmony with others </li><li>Interested in learning more about premium winemaking and has an enthusiastic outlook on learning by doing. </li><li>Candidates should have good communication skills, reliability, punctuality, and be prepared for the potential long hours. </li><li>This includes overtime, weekends, day or night shifts, and holidays. Candidate's schedule must be flexible to cater to incoming fruit. </li><li>Perform heavy physical work, lifting 50 lbs repeatedly, bending, climbing, push/pulling 100 pounds, or squatting. </li><li>Stand for long periods & work in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Forklift experience is a plus, but not necessary. </li><li>Tolerate exposure to outside elements (heat, wet and/or damp conditions, cold). </li></ul> <p>Company Standards:</p> <ul> <li>Understand the PONTE Values, and Service Standards. </li><li>Ensure the safety of guests and associates. </li><li>Follow the environmental standards set by the Company </li><li>Treat all associates and guests in a respectful manner. </li><li>Exhibit integrity (honesty and truthfulness). </li><li>Perform any other duties as required by your Manager. </li></ul>
