This pivotal role will report directly to the Group Media Vice President and will be based at our Global Headquarters in Amsterdam.</p> <p>Job description</p> <p>We are seeking an experienced and innovative Global Programmatic, New Platforms, and Retail Media Manager to join our Group Media team. This critical role will oversee the strategy, execution, and optimization of advertising campaigns across programmatic and emerging digital media platforms. The role will act as the central orchestrator between internal stakeholders, media agencies, ad tech partners, and trading desks-ensuring alignment and excellence in execution across markets.</p> <p>Job Purpose:</p> <p>As the Global Programmatic, New Platforms, and Retail Media Manager, you will be at the forefront of media innovation driving our programmatic strategy, leading the adoption of emerging digital platforms, and accelerating our presence in the rapidly evolving world of retail media. You will work cross-functionally with global and local teams, media partners, and platform providers to shape a future-ready media ecosystem that delivers measurable business impact.</p> <p>You will play a key part in shaping the company's future media strategy, managing the global ad tech stack, and leading innovation projects across digital platforms and retail media.</p> <p>Key Accountabilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Programmatic Strategy & Coordination</p> </li><li> <p>Lead global programmatic media strategy across all channels and ensure activities are fully aligned with:</p> </li><li> <p>Standard media planning and buying activities led by Regional Media Managers and the Media Agency</p> </li><li> <p>Creative and content development led by Brand Marketing and Creative Agencies</p> </li><li> <p>Audience analysis and segmentation by Global Digital Marketing and DMP partners</p> </li><li> <p>Advertising tracking and reporting run by the Global Digital Marketing team and external tracking partners</p> </li></ul> <p>Campaign Management & Governance</p> <ul> <li> <p>Define and manage KPIs and criteria for deciding when programmatic buying is recommended versus standard insertion order (e.g., audience data availability, campaign objectives, lifecycle stage)</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee campaign planning with the Media Agency's dedicated team, ensuring proper inputs into DSPs (e.g., audience segments, contextual/geotargeting, device strategy, viewability, channel mix)</p> </li><li> <p>Approve campaign buying strategies proposed by the Agency Trading Desk</p> </li></ul> <p>Ad Tech & Data Management</p> <ul> <li> <p>Manage global Ad Tech platforms and maintain an efficient, connected digital media ecosystem</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure smooth data flows between Media Agency and Business Application Tools (BAT)</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the assessment and implementation of brand safety, viewability, and reach-in-target tools</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with the MarTech team in London to design, develop, and implement proprietary media tools</p> </li></ul> <p>Retail Media Leadership</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develop and evolve the company's Retail Media Point of View (POV), evaluating retailers as media and data partners</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate cross-functionally to build best practices, establish KPIs, and measurement plans for retail media campaigns</p> </li><li> <p>Drive internal education and processes to ensure brands can effectively activate retail media opportunities</p> </li></ul> <p>Innovation & Partnerships</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead global digital media innovation initiatives-scouting, testing, and scaling new platforms and technologies</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and implement Joint Business Plans with OTT platforms (e.g., Google, Meta)</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee the negotiation, implementation, and management of digital verification contracts (e.g., Integral Ad Science)</p> </li></ul> <p>Desired Skills and Background:</p> <ul> <li>MSc in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field </li><li>5-8 years of experience in digital marketing, including programmatic, retail media, and emerging platforms </li><li>Hands-on experience with retail media platforms </li><li>Familiarity with new and emerging platforms </li><li>Proven ability to lead and optimize global campaigns across multiple markets </li><li>Strong analytical skills and understanding of performance metrics, attribution, and A/B testing </li><li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional and stakeholder alignment </li><li>Deep understanding of digital media trends, consumer behavior, and the evolving ad tech landscape </li></ul> <p>We Offer:</p> <ul> <li>A central location in the heart of Amsterdam with excellent access to public transportation </li><li>Hybrid working modelOpportunity to grow professionally through international projects </li><li>A dynamic, inclusive team culture with flat hierarchies and a collaborative spirit </li><li>We offer hybrid working as a mix of remotely and from the office </li><li>Regular team lunches </li><li>International careers </li><li>Opportunity to grow professionally through involvement in impactful international projects </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>Starting date: September 1st </li><li>Local permanent Contract </li></ul> <p>At Barilla, we are committed to creating an inclusive and equitable workplace where diversity in all its forms is valued and embraced.
