<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Department Summary:</p> <p>The objective of the Massasoit Community College Athletic Department is to provide students with the highest quality athletic, academic and social experience.</p> <p>Our goal is to achieve competitive success in every program and develop and maintain an environment that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, compliance, equity, and diversity. We strive to provide quality leadership and management to help our teams achieve a positive level of success</p> <p>Description of Duties:</p> <p>Develop, implement and manage the overall day-to-day operations of the Massasoit Track & Field program, including teaching skills and strategies for specific events during practice and competition.</p> <p>Specific job responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the track & field team, including teaching skills and athletically preparing team for competition. </li><li>Develop and implement a comprehensive recruiting plan to build a highly competitive team. </li><li>Create a positive and healthy team culture that encourages learning, development and sportsmanship. </li><li>Accompany the team for all meets and practices. </li><li>Hire, supervise and evaluate assistant coaches. </li><li>Register all athletes for competition and assist with scheduling meets. </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience required. </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences (i.e., students, parents, local media, faculty, staff, alumni, administration and community). </li><li>Ability to work evening, weekends, and holidays as playing and practice season schedule dictates. </li><li>Valid U.S. driver's license. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree preferred. Will consider persons with extensive experience coaching track and field, preferably at the college level. </li><li>CPR certified </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Position Status: Part time Non Benefited</p> <p>Salary: $9,000.00 per season</p> <p>Worksite: Assignments will include all Massasoit sites and additional locations as necessary.</p> <p>Deadline to Apply: January 25, 2026</p> <p>Application Instructions:</p> <p>A cover letter and resume are required, please apply online.
