We strive to provide quality leadership and management to help our teams achieve a positive level of success</p> <p>Description of Duties:</p> <p>Develop, implement and manage the overall day-to-day operations of the Massasoit Track & Field program, including teaching skills and strategies for specific events during practice and competition.</p> <p>Specific job responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the track & field team, including teaching skills and athletically preparing team for competition. </li><li>Develop and implement a comprehensive recruiting plan to build a highly competitive team. </li><li>Create a positive and healthy team culture that encourages learning, development and sportsmanship. </li><li>Accompany the team for all meets and practices. </li><li>Hire, supervise and evaluate assistant coaches. </li><li>Register all athletes for competition and assist with scheduling meets. </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience required. </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences (i.e., students, parents, local media, faculty, staff, alumni, administration and community). </li><li>Ability to work evening, weekends, and holidays as playing and practice season schedule dictates. </li><li>Valid U.S. driver's license. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree preferred.
