<p>This position is located in the Supply Chain Management Service at the Clement J. Zablocki Medical Center. The primary purpose of the position is to ensure supplies and materials are distributed to all areas serviced by the Supply Chain Management Service. This position also leads three or more GS-2005 employees in the distribution area to provide wards, clinics, operating rooms, secondary storage locations, and other hospital facilities with supplies and materials.</p> <ul> <li>Ensure supplies and materials are distributed to all areas serviced by Logistics. </li><li>Leads three or more GS-2005 employees in the distribution area. </li><li>Monitors status and progress of work, makes day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities. </li><li>Estimates and reports on expected time of completion of work. </li><li>Performs inventory using bar code equipment and resolves differences between records and physical count of stock. </li><li>Gives on the job training to new employees in accordance with established procedures and practices. </li><li>Maintains stock at primary and secondary inventory locations for all clinical and administrative services. </li><li>Monitors expiration dates, rotates stock to limit outdates and removes items from use as required by outdates. </li><li>Ensures critical supplies re appropriately monitored and controlled, resolving deviations when possible. </li><li>Supports wall-to-wall inventories. </li><li>Receives supplies and material into the VA Health Care System and supported catchment area. </li><li>Unpacks/uncrates supplies from shipping cartons; properly stores supplies and material in main/primary inventory areas. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, normal business hours with rotating weekends.</p> <p>Virtual: This is not a virtual position.</p> <p>Position Description/PD#: Lead Supply Technician/PD99833S</p> <p>Relocation/Recruitment Incentives: Not authorized</p> <p>Critical Skills Incentive (CSI): Not approved</p> <p>Permanent Change of Station (PCS): Not authorized</p>
