<p>Department: Public Works Department Organizational Unit: Roadway and Bridge</p> <p>Position Type: Permanent Full Time/Part Time: Full Time</p> <p>Open Until Filled.</p> <p>$2, 022.03 to $2,224.23 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Performs experienced professional Geographic Information System (GIS) work, including the design, development, and analysis of specifications for GIS data, applications, and workflows.</p> <p>REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, Urban/Regional Planning, Engineering, or a closely related field PLUS two (2) years of professional experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience with Esri GIS software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred. Ability to read and interpret survey maps, land use plans, subdivision plats, and construction plans is preferred. Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, along with experience in database management systems and data conversion techniques (such as SQL, geodatabases, and referenced feature classes) is preferred. Experience with programming or scripting languages (such as Python) for automating GIS tasks is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment.
