<ul> <li> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> </li><li> <p>Working under the supervision of the IST Systems Manager, the Interface Developer II will work directly with database administrators, project managers, application owners, application vendors to provide analysis, design, development, validation testing, support, and maintenance of application integration interfaces for mission critical clinical and business applications. The Database Analyst Programmer II will also participate in technical solutions for disaster recovery planning and testing from an interface prospective. Other duties as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> </li><li> <p>Overall performance rating of below indicated essential job duties:</p> </li><li> <p>Interfaces directly with database administrators, project managers, application owners, application vendors to provide analysis, design, development, validation testing, support, and maintenance of application integration interfaces.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure the successful configuration and implementation of interface projects, connecting various healthcare information systems, such as EHRs and Health Information Exchanges</p> </li><li> <p>Interpreting interface specifications, developing interface channels using Corepoint interface engine, unit testing, data mapping, and supporting of delivered interfaces.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic understanding of networking, databases, and enterprise applications.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides troubleshooting across multiple disciplines, applications, and technical groups in order to address issues that arise.</p> </li><li> <p>Must work with project manager, application owners, and application vendors to translate interface requirements into a project scope.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with IST team members and IST leadership to improve processes and increase automation.</p> </li><li> <p>Must work with Interface Developer III regarding process, workflows, and development tasks to ensure the smooth operation of all Interfaces.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with SQL Database environments.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide on-call and after-hours technical support during scheduled rotations.</p> </li><li> <p>Required to work and support after hours' monthly downtimes if appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Must follow all established KDHS security policies and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/OTHER REQUIREMENTS</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum requirement:</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's or Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience.</p> </li><li> <p>3-4 years of experience with enterprise application, integration interfaces, databases.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred qualifications:</p> </li><li> <p>WORKING ENVIRONMENT</p> </li><li> <p>This job operates in a professional office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally requires travel to and from off-site locations</p> </li><li> <p>The noise level in this position is usually low</p> </li><li> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently required to maintain a stationary position behind a computer or while presenting to individuals or groups.</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently required to move about throughout the Medical Center or while rounding.</p> </li><li> <p>Constantly required to communicate with people electronically, telephonically and in-person requiring talking and hearing.</p> </li><li> <p>Constantly required to operate a computer and telephone.</p> </li><li> <p>Constantly required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.</p> </li><li> <p>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.</p> </li></ul>
