<p>Overview</p> <p>The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained facility.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems. </li><li>Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing and mechanical systems. </li><li>Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders and resolve issues efficiently and in a timely fashion. </li><li>Inspect and maintain building infrastructure, including, but not limited to, lighting, doors, flooring, fixtures, furniture. </li><li>Perform installation, repair, and upkeep of facilities equipment and machinery. </li><li>Maintain a clean and organized work area. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent. </li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state and local environmental, health and safety regulations and company policies. </li><li>Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized and non specialized repairs or projects. </li><li>Assist with preparation for customer visits, company events and conference room usage. </li><li>Support emergency response for facility-related issues (e.g., leaks, power outages, etc.) including off hours and weekends. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred but not required. </li><li>Minimum 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a related field. </li><li>Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Basic computer skills for work order systems and documentation. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (indoor/outdoor). </li><li>Valid drivers license </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) software. </li><li>Knowledge of federal, state and local environmental, health and safety standards. </li><li>Familiarity with building codes and best practices in facilities management. </li><li>Familiarity with energy efficiency practices. </li></ul> <p>Work Schedule</p> <p>Full-time, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed for emergencies or projects.</p> <p>WHAT'S NEXT, APPLY NOW!</p> <p>BISSELL is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, ethnicity, disability, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, sexual orientation, age, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law</p>
