The aide must have a strong knowledge base as to how computers function, installation of programs, general troubleshooting and student supervision.</p> </li><li> <p>This person will adhere to all local, state and federal regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>This person will abide by all rules and regulations established by the Poplar Bluff R-1 Board of Education.</p> </li><li> <p>This person will abide by the policies as outlined in the Classified Handbook.</p> </li></ul> <p>Performance Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>The aide will follow the District's Scope and Sequence for Computer Skills for each grade level. In addition, all computer lab activities will support and supplement grade level curriculum activities.</p> </li><li> <p>The aide will provide instruction on grade level computer skills. Students will begin lab activities within two days after school starts. The lab aide will coordinate with each classroom teacher to insure the computer program supplements classroom activity.</p> </li><li> <p>The aide will insure the computer lab is cleaned and dusted daily.</p> </li><li> <p>All computer related equipment problems within the building will be reported to the lab aide. It will be the aide's responsibility to fix, troubleshoot and/or diagnosis the problem when possible. The aide will file a work order with the Media Center staff for any unresolved technology problems. All inventory discrepancies will be reported to the building principal immediately.</p> </li><li> <p>The aide will report immediately any network related issues or network updates to the Network Manager at the Media Center. The Network Manager will schedule all appointments for network maintenance and upgrades.</p> </li><li> <p>The aide is responsible for maintaining all files pertaining to Technology Usage Agreements for all Staff, Students, Parental Permission Slips and Visitors.</p> </li><li> <p>The aide will coordinate with the high school business department chairperson to insure the curriculum being taught are prerequisite skills for the district's Scope and Sequence of Computer Skills.</p> </li><li> <p>The aide will participate in appropriate Professional Development activities as designed by the Media Center.</p> </li><li> <p>The building administrator may assign extra supervision duties as needed.</p> </li></ul> <p>Essential functions of the job:</p> <p>Must be able to carry and lift twenty-five pounds</p> <p>Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in electronic formats.</p> <p>Must be able to read and understand written orders and instructions.</p> <p>Must have dexterous use of hands in order to operate required equipment.</p> <p>EVALUATION: Performance of the job will be evaluated by the Instructor Supervisor in accordance with Board Policy.</p>
