<p>SUBJECT: Short Term Substitute Teacher: Special Education - Woodland Academy Fall 2025</p> <p>REPORTS TO: BUILDING PRINCIPAL</p> <p>ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:</p> <p>The Worcester Public Schools is seeking a Short Term Substitute Special Education Teacher at Woodland Academy for the anticipated period of August 25, 2025 to September 26, 205. Should this assignment period extend or another similar assignment become available following the dates of this assignment, the successful candidate may be offered the opportunity to continue the placement. If the assignment reaches 45 consecutive work days, this would be considered a Long Term Substitute assignment.</p> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li>Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills </li></ol> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ol> <li>Massachusetts DESE educator's license in Elementary 1-6 </li><li>Demonstrated experience supporting students with disabilities </li><li>Ability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, or an African Language </li></ol> <p>WORK YEAR: Dates of assignment as noted above. Potential for assignment to extend.</p> <p>WORK DAY: 6 hours</p> <p>HOURLY RATE: Short Term Substitute Hourly rate of 18.32/hour for consecutive work days 1-44.
