<p>ASR International Corp. has an opportunity for a Networks On-Site Representative (NOSR) (IT System Analyst) position supporting the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) Code 273B Submarine Networks NOSR efforts.</p> <p>This position will provide technical, assessment, and modernization support for Submarine Information Systems as directed by MARMC Code 273B and COMSUBLANT (CSL).</p> <p>Location: Naval Submarine Base New London - Groton, CT 06349</p> <p>Job Description/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide for onboard and TYCOM administration support, guidance, system onboard training, monitoring of Submarine Networks at the local ISIC/Submarine Squadrons and CSL. </li><li>Serve as the CSL liaison for network maintenance, repair, inspections, assessments, and administrative related issues on assigned submarines for all applicable shipboard Information Systems. </li><li>Advise CSL, Squadron Commanders, and submarine Commanding Officers (CO) on issues concerning submarine information systems technical, maintenance, and administrative issues and provide input and recommendations at TYCOM/ISIC meetings, submarine network program and working group meetings, and waterfront technical meetings. </li><li>Assist ship's force to resolve operational, maintenance, administrative, and logistics problems which have degraded system performance and/or operational capability. </li><li>Assist ship's force with obtaining any needed Fleet Technical Assistance (FTA) IAW current Navy directives. </li><li>Provide instruction and training to fleet Network administrators in Submarine Networks maintenance and administration procedures (system backups, switch configurations, software configurations). </li><li>Monitor ship's force abilities and practices pertaining to submarine network operation, maintenance, and administration. Ensure CSL, ISIC, MARMC and Submarine COs are apprised of the material condition and operational readiness of networks on assigned submarines and provide recommendations for actions and/or improvements as required. </li><li>Monitor and provide technical recommendations for submarine network modernization and engineering changes to assigned submarines. </li><li>Provide technical recommendations, as required, to enable ship's force to quickly resolve shipboard Information Systems issues. </li><li>Assist CSL and ISICs in maintaining strict configuration management of current and planned architectures by maintaining accurate configuration management for all assigned submarines and conducting spot checks with ship's force. </li><li>Conduct periodic assessments of ship's force network administration practices and technical capabilities IAW CSL directives. </li><li>Attend all submarine network meetings and briefs for units assigned to their homeports as feasible. </li><li>Potential for up to 5% off-site/OCONUS travel work may be required as needed. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/Skills/Experience/Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Specialized Experience: 5 years of full-time hands-on experience in the installation, test, and/or maintenance of the following systems/equipment/components: </li><li>SubLAN Consolidated Afloat Networks and Enterprise Services (CANES) </li><li>SubLAN COMPOSE 3/4 (SIPR/NIPR) </li><li>AND at least 2 of the following: </li><li>Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS) </li><li>Non-Tactical Data Processing System (NTDPS) </li><li>Host Based Security System (HBSS) </li><li>Global Command and Control - Maritime (GCCS-M) </li><li>Navy Information Application Product Suite (NIAPS) </li><li>General Experience: 7 years full-time Information Systems experience in the operation and/or maintenance of various computer-controlled equipment used to perform tests, simulations, or real time operations such as installed forward control systems onboard Naval ships/Submarine. </li><li>Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess and maintain "Secret" level security clearance throughout the contract. </li><li>Physical requirements for efficient and safe navigation aboard US Navy ships without incident: Possess the physical stamina to walk continuously for extended periods of time without experiencing significant fatigue (traversing across inclined or uneven surfaces, through/into crowded/confined areas/spaces, up and down ladders/stairs, and in areas of varying environmental qualities); possess adequate upper and lower-body strength necessary to climb ladders, stairs, and ramps; and possess the physical strength, agility, endurance, and mental constitution required to work aloft as required (perform work over the side of a ship's hull, on the mast, or in areas on the superstructure and at a height that requires the use of a safety harness). </li></ul> <p>Please note that your resume and candidacy is subject to customer approval and acceptance, clearing of the required background check, and maintain the level of security clearance needed.
