<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking highly skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Providers to join Upstate Pre-Admissions Testing Team providing pre-anesthesia evaluations, history and physicals, and completing patient chart reviews to optimize patients prior to undergoing elective surgeries or invasive procedures at Upstate's Health Care Center!</p> <p>Position is based in a Level I Trauma Center that provides Critical Care and services to patients across a 17+ County Region. Scheduling is determined based on operational needs. Upstate operates 24 hours a day/Seven days a week, providing continuous care to our region.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Providing expert level clinical care and coordination of care via a full range of services that will improve quality of patient care. </li><li>Assessing and evaluating patients, ordering appropriate laboratory testing and diagnostic studies, arranging for referrals, testing, consultation and therapeutic services. </li><li>Maintaining outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians and all members of the health care team. </li></ul> <p>As an APP, you will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, demonstrating professionalism, leadership, and a commitment to Upstate's mission, vision, and values, while adhering to all institutional policies and procedures.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (or graduated from an accredited PA program) or eligible by time of appointment. </li><li>Current NYS Licensure or Registration as an NP or PA. </li><li>Current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice. </li><li>Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire) </li><li>CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment. </li><li>Must be certified to take care of both pediatric and adult patients. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Anesthesia, Surgical, and/or Medicine (Hospitalist, Primary Care, Internal Medicine) APP experience preferred.</p> <p>Work Days:</p> <p>Monday - Friday, Days with Holiday Rotation.
