Our site, Albéa Shelbyville is specialized in Laminate Tubes for Oral, Cosmetic & Pharmaceutical Markets.</p> <p>Scope</p> <p>The Rewinder Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing winding machines to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.</p> <p>Main activities</p> <ul> <li>Perform routine maintenance and repairs on winding machines. </li><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime. </li><li>Ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently. </li><li>Collaborate with the production team to optimize machine performance. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs. </li><li>Document and report daily activities via an Excel spreadsheet and email. </li></ul> <p>Accountability including KPIs</p> <ul> <li>Check with the printing supervisor and quality each day to plan on what is being inspected each day. </li><li>Once job has been rewound, ensure proper count of good material and document bad material. </li><li>Collaborate with quality to get proper ID's are made and material is re-inventoried. </li><li>Once each job is done, fill out the Excel file and send email report on jobs inspected. </li></ul> <p>Profile (Experience & qualifications)</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred. </li><li>Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Familiar with Excel, Microsoft Word, and Outlook. </li></ul>
