<p>The Role</p> <p>Delivery Science is a value-driven team committed to impactful performance, innovation, and excellence. We apply our unique expertise to advance mRNA technologies and deliver transformative, sustainable solutions that drive progress in healthcare.</p> <p>This position joins the Delivery and Nucleic Acid Analytical Research group within Delivery Science and is responsible for execution and optimization of a range of analytical techniques and methods to ensure robust and thorough characterization of our lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) and nucleic acids.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is comfortable working with a variety of instruments and lab techniques, following established procedures, continuously identifying and driving improvements, and takes pride in delivering a quality product with clear documentation.</p> <p>Here's What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Plan and execute experiments utilizing a suite of analytical techniques for the characterization of nucleic acids and LNPs in an accurate, consistent, and timely manner</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct stability studies to evaluate drug substance and drug product shelf life</p> </li><li> <p>Execute analytical techniques including HPLC, FACE, DSC, ITC, SAXS, and general characterization methods</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize automated laboratory robotics to enable high-throughput workflows</p> </li><li> <p>Process, input, and maintain large volumes of analytical and sample data</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain and troubleshoot lab instrumentation</p> </li><li> <p>Identify and propose solutions to opportunities for improvement in business processes and technical workflows</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain good documentation including electronic lab notebooks and technical reports</p> </li><li> <p>Contribute to knowledge management efforts through generation and review of operating protocols and templates</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate and collaborate with researchers and scientists across disciplines</p> </li><li> <p>Manage materials and consumables for lab-based projects</p> </li><li> <p>Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time</p> </li></ul> <p>Here's What You'll Need (Basic Qualifications)</p> <ul> <li> <p>BS or MS in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, biology or related field</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of hands-on experience in a laboratory environment</p> </li></ul> <p>Here's What You'll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)</p> <ul> <li> <p>MS in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, biology or related field</p> </li><li> <p>2+ years of biotech or pharmaceutical industry experience</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with drug delivery, nanoparticle formulations, and or nucleic acids is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge or experience working with automated and robotic systems is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Programming experience is a plus</p> </li><li> <p>Self-motivation and commitment to excellence, results, and innovation</p> </li><li> <p>Flexibility and adaptability to frequent change</p> </li><li> <p>Data driven mindset, strong critical and analytical thinking</p> </li><li> <p>Effective communication, both written and verbal</p> </li><li> <p>A desire to make an impact as part of a high-growth, transformational company that is Bold, Relentless, Curious, and Collaborative.</p> </li></ul> <p>At Moderna, we believe that when you feel your best, you can do your best work.
