<p>SUMMARY</p> <p>Direct, schedule, and coordinate activities of a designated direct report crew, ensuring</p> <p>project safety, quality, and production tasks, goals, and objectives are achieved on time and under budget.</p> <p>TYPICAL DAILY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Safety</p> <ul> <li>Work with the crew to plan and perform the work with a safe work or no work mindset. </li><li>Understand and work with the OSHA and company safety guidelines at all times. </li><li>Maintain a safe work zone for the traveling public. </li></ul> <p>Quality</p> <ul> <li>Maintain and lead with a working understanding of each utility construction crew position performed by the company. </li><li>Maintain working knowledge of and ability to run all equipment and tools necessary to complete a project. </li><li>Deliver a project that exceeds the expectations of the customers and community. </li></ul> <p>Production</p> <ul> <li>Read, understand, and lead the execution of all plans, drawings, and specifications sharing, necessary information with crew members. </li><li>Understand and execute work as defined in the 3-week schedule. </li><li>Make scheduling changes as needed based on overall understanding of the project requirements and deadlines to meet or exceed expectations. </li><li>Verify all materials for daily tasks are correct and onsite. </li></ul> <p>Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Anticipate and solve problems with a positive mindset and focus on solutions. </li><li>Encourage and expect honesty and openness from self and all crew members. </li><li>Establish and enforce jobsite and HR policies, procedures, and performance standards per company policy. </li><li>Train, mentor, and coach employees through concise instructions, practical feedback, and celebratory praise. </li><li>Communicate directly, clearly, respectfully, and collaboratively with the crew, Superintendent, Owners, Engineers, Inspectors, and the public. </li><li>Seek out and take the initiative to improve existing processes and systems. </li><li>Assist Superintendent in completing detailed annual crew performance reviews. </li><li>Accurately complete daily reports and time sheets. </li></ul> <p>Abide by the Company's Fleet Driving Policy.</p> <p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED plus four (4) to five (5) years of related experience and/or training </li><li>OSHA 10 required </li><li>Maintain a valid driver's license and safe driving record </li><li>Team-focused </li><li>Comfort leading people and work as necessary </li><li>Skilled in schedule management, problem-solving, and communication </li><li>Understand and be committed to safety and jobsite standards, policies, and processes </li></ul>
