The ideal candidate has experience operating laser cutting equipment, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety. If you enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Read and interpret blueprints </li><li>Determines gas type, nozzle size, and focus of lens based on material type and thickness. </li><li>Sets up, adjusts, and operates a computer-controlled laser cutting machine. </li><li>Makes adjustments as needed </li><li>Creates inspection sheets </li><li>Inspects parts using precision measuring equipment and documents inspection data </li><li>Performs daily and weekly maintenance as it relates to laser cutting equipment </li><li>Programs using priority dispatch </li><li>Cleans and organizes work area </li><li>Other duties may be assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required; technical certificate or 6+ months related experience preferred. </li><li>Able to read and understand basic instructions, memos, and manuals. </li><li>Able to write simple correspondence and communicate effectively with team members. </li><li>Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and percentages. </li><li>Strong common-sense reasoning; able to follow written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions. </li><li>Able to troubleshoot routine problems using standard procedures. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms </li><li>Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl </li><li>Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally </li><li>Visual abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus </li><li>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Exposure to moving mechanical parts </li><li>Exposure to fumes or airborne particles </li><li>Noise level is usually moderate </li><li>All required PPE must be worn in designated areas; Safety is our top priority! </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer</p> <p>We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our workforce.</p>
