<p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Works under general direction and requires considerable knowledge of teacher education</p> </li><li> <p>Provides instruction in auto mechanics (e.g., operating diagnostic equipment, performing major and minor tune-ups, servicing and repairing brakes and transmissions, diagnosing and repairing electrical problems, fuel systems and cooling and heating problems) and individual assistance</p> </li><li> <p>Assesses educational needs of inmates</p> </li><li> <p>Develops lesson plans to address those needs to include individual assignments and training</p> </li><li> <p>Provides instruction and individual assistance</p> </li><li> <p>Administers, scores and interprets examinations and proficiency indicators</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains discipline and/or security; counsels students concerning their performance, behavior and/or personal problems.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend meetings as required</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares required records and reports (e.g., enrollment, grades, student progress)</p> </li><li> <p>Inventories and orders supplies and materials needed</p> </li><li> <p>Sesearches, selects and recommends new teaching materials</p> </li><li> <p>Attends in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Must meet eligibility requirements for Teacher Certificate/License appropriate for career-tech - automotive mechanics & grade level as assigned*; Teacher 1, 71341, must also have baccalaureate degree or less per OEA agreement.
