<p>Kforce has a client that is seeking a Tanium Administrator in Denver, CO; Charlotte, NC; Or Saint Louis, MO.</p> <p>Summary: We are seeking a Tanium Administrator to join our enterprise infrastructure operations team. While direct experience with Tanium is not required, candidates must bring a strong operational Linux background and the willingness to learn and own the Tanium platform. This role supports a high-security, on-premise environment managing over 170,000 endpoints and involves working across IT, security, and engineering teams to ensure effective systems management and issue resolution.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Manage and maintain the Tanium platform on a day-to-day basis </li><li>Configure and tailor Tanium modules based on stakeholder and user requirements </li><li>Proactively identify and troubleshoot platform-level issues across a complex enterprise environment </li><li>Lead and participate in technical meetings to discuss system performance, issues, and enhancement opportunities </li><li>Serve as a point of contact between technical teams and business stakeholders </li><li>Collaborate with security and network teams to ensure system compliance and health </li><li>Perform endpoint management functions, including patching, configuration, and software deployment </li><li>Develop or maintain scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Linux shell for automation and task optimization* Strong operational background in Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.) </li><li>Familiarity with endpoint management or systems monitoring tools (e.g., SCCM, BigFix, Big Brother, CFEngine) </li><li>Experience in a security-focused, on-premise enterprise IT environment </li><li>Understanding of software distribution, patching, and system hardening </li><li>Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash </li><li>Solid grasp of basic networking concepts and firewall configurations </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot across the full technology stack (endpoint, network, server, etc.) </li><li>Excellent communication and leadership skills-able to lead meetings and drive technical discussions </li></ul> <p>Nice to Have:</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience with Tanium or certification(s) in Tanium modules </li><li>Experience with Alteryx, data automation tools, or report distribution tools </li><li>Familiarity with Windows systems administration and management </li><li>Exposure to compliance and security audit frameworks </li></ul> <p>What You'll Gain:</p> <ul> <li>Hands-on training and mentorship in the Tanium platform </li><li>Exposure to a large-scale enterprise environment with over 170K endpoints </li><li>Opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a high-visibility role </li><li>Collaborative, culture-focused on continuous improvement, cross-training, and knowledge sharing </li></ul>
