Join us in transforming airport dining!</p> <p>The Opportunity:</p> <p>High Flying Foods is looking for skilled Line Cooks to join our team at our new Santo Restaurant opening soon at Denver International Airport. You will join a dynamic and positive team environment, maintaining the highest standards of service and operational excellence. If you are passionate about hospitality, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and a foodie at heart, we'd love to hear from you.</p> <p>What We Offer:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive Hourly Rate: $25/hr ($26/hr after 90 days of employment) </li><li>Free parking and free RTD pass </li><li>Excellent work/life balance </li><li>Company contributed medical, dental, vision, and life insurance </li><li>Medical and dependent care FSA plans </li><li>401(k) retirement program with 5% match after 1 year </li><li>Paid vacation and sick leave </li><li>Free employee meals </li><li>Opportunities for career growth and advancement </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare, cook, and plate food to order according to our recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency and quality. </li><li>Follow safety protocols and kitchen practices to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your teammates. </li><li>Set up and maintain an organized, clean kitchen station daily, ensuring all ingredients, tools, and equipment are stocked and ready for service. </li><li>Properly handle, store, and rotate ingredients using FIFO (First In, First Out) to maintain the quality and freshness of our products. </li><li>Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning. </li><li>Complete prep lists and other kitchen checklists to ensure all tasks are handled before service begins. </li><li>Execute cleaning duties as assigned to maintain a sanitary kitchen environment. </li><li>Communicate with the manager at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure smooth operations and that all tasks are completed. </li><li>Perform any other tasks as required to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>1+ years of experience working as a line cook in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment </li><li>Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays </li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and managers </li><li>Ability to memorize and follow recipes, accurately measure ingredients, and adhere to food preparation guidelines </li><li>Demonstrated skill in knife handling and proficiency with kitchen equipment </li><li>Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation practices </li><li>A valid Food Handler's Card (or willingness to obtain during training as required by law) </li><li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and kneel for duration of shift </li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain composure in a fast-paced setting while ensuring high-quality results </li></ul>
