We are looking for a dedicated Clinical Informaticist like you to be a part of our team.</p> <p>Job Summary and Qualifications</p> <p>The Clinical Operations Group (COG) is responsible for HCA's clinical and quality agenda. The EHR Optimization (EHRO) team, which is a part of the COG, manages and optimizes the use and standard content of the enterprise EHR and informatics platforms across multiple vendors and versions such as Meditech Expanse, Epic, and Cerner, to name a few. The EHRO team is responsible for the compliant, optimized and efficient use of informatics solutions across all acute care and post-acute care facilities. The Clinical Informaticist is responsible for driving the evaluation and implementation of changes that address standardization and optimization of the clinician experience with the EHR technologies. The Clinical Informaticist works as a member of a team to support the enterprise standardization of orders, order sets and supporting clinical workflows to ensure that clinical and workflow needs are met, and all regulatory and enterprise corporate initiatives are appropriately considered in the design for all applicable EHR platforms (Meditech Expanse, Magic, Cerner, EPIC)</p> <p>Major Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Support the preparation of informatics materials to collaborate with corporate service line leaders, enterprise advisory boards, division and facility leaders, and end user representatives to define informatics solutions that address the need of clinicians. </li><li>Collect information of current state workflow, end user experience, and associated corporate guidance to inform prioritization of requests for changes to standard orders (nursing, consults, diet, etc.) order sets and EHR functions related to admissions, transfers and discharges within the EHR. </li><li>Collaborate with Information Technology and Services (IT&S), delivering requirements to support ongoing maintenance and optimization of enterprise standard content. </li><li>Obtain end user feedback and identify opportunities for continued improvement in standard content and applied use of the EHR platforms. </li><li>Continue to build and expand understanding of EHR workflow functions to guide informatics solution requirements and design to achieve project objectives. </li></ul> <p>What qualifications you will need:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree - Required </li><li>3+ years of clinical experience as a nurse, charge nurse, or related clinician experience - Required </li><li>Hospital Experience - Preferred </li><li>Emergency Department Experience - Highly Preferred </li><li>Experience with EHRs such as Meditech, EPIC, and/or Cerner - Preferred </li></ul> <p>Other Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work effectively across teams and with departmental leaders - Required </li><li>Excellent communications skills and active listening skills - Required </li><li>Problem solving and root cause identification skills - Required </li><li>Ability to understand and learn clinical and technology workflows - Required </li><li>Excellent organizational skills - Required </li><li>Advanced computer skills and advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products - Required </li><li>Ability to learn how to navigate Meditech and other COG systems - Required </li></ul> <p>Work Location/Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Nashville, TN area (near Centennial Park) </li><li>Hybrid - 3 days/week in the office </li></ul> <p>Travel Required:</p> <ul> <li>This job requires very little travel, if any </li></ul> <p>"Good people beget good people."- Dr. Thomas Frist, Sr.</p> <p>HCA Healthcare Co-Founder</p> <p>We are a family 270,000 dedicated professionals!
