<p>The City of Lincoln Council has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Technician to join our team.</p> <p>In this admin support role, you will be part of the Facilities Management team who are responsible for repairing and maintaining the Council's corporate properties throughout Lincoln.</p> <p>The position is predominately to provide administrative support including to manage day to day repairs for the Council's corporate property stock and will include site visits and inspections.</p> <p>We are looking for friendly and approachable candidate with previous experience working in a similar role who is able to prioritise repairs.</p> <p>Key responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Be responsible for the administration of repair and maintenance projects (including order and requests), liaising with the Council's approved contractors to manage the responsive repairs process. </li><li>Be the systems administrator for the P2 property management software. </li></ul> <p>The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:</p> <ul> <li>Experience of managing contractors in respect of repairs and maintenance to buildings. </li><li>Understanding of service needs to ensure plans maximise opportunities and satisfy service requirements. </li><li>Ability to forge and maintain relationships with staff, contractors and stakeholders. </li><li>Ability / confidence to challenge contractors to ensure works are carried out safely and to the required standard. </li><li>Ability to respond immediately to enquiries and prioritise works. </li></ul> <p>Benefits we offer:</p> <ul> <li>Flexible working options / Flexi time scheme. </li><li>Generous annual leave entitlement plus bank holidays. </li><li>Local government pension scheme (currently 23.4% employer contribution). </li><li>Employee online discount scheme (including cinema, retail / supermarkets and homeware / tech). </li><li>Health and Wellbeing support. </li><li>Sustainable Travel Options (Tax free bike scheme and discounted City parking). </li></ul> <p>For an informal discussion, please contact Phil Everson (Facilities Manager) on phil.everson@lincoln.gov.uk</p> <p>In order to complete your application, please download and read the job description attached.
