<p>Description An Associate Researcher Level II position is immediately available in the Human Immune Monitoring Center (HIMC) (https://icahn.mssm.edu/research/human-immune-monitoring-center) at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai. HIMC leverages powerful technology platforms to provide comprehensive immune profiling services for a diverse range of clinical and translational research studies. Our assays generate large and complex experimental data sets, and the HIMC is unique in developing and providing a suite of analytics services that rely on state-of-the-art software. The successful candidate will work with a team of scientists and technicians on projects related to various disease including cancer, IBD, neuroscience etc. This is an exciting opportunity to gain deep familiarity with a broad range of complex technologies and biological data types, while making a real impact at the forefront of translational immunology. Responsibilities Biospecimen processing and sample management for downstream fit-for-purpose immune profiling. Performing the following: single cell transcriptomic and spatial transcriptomic analysis, assays on platforms such as Olink, Luminex, ELISA, CyTOF and spectral flow cytometry. Draft and maintain assay SOPs. Organize and track reagent inventory and maintain real-time sample and assay database. Knowledge and experience in basic molecular/cell biology lab techniques. Acute attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team. Enthusiastic in learning the scientific and technical motivations underlying data processing and analysis workflows. Experience with any of above assays and human biospecimen processing would be ideal but is not required, since full platform-specific training on all the biological assay platforms will be provided.
