<p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Crane Operator/Loader is responsible for handling materials as related to the shipping and receiving of inventory and customer orders. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Crane and Forklift Operation: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts </li><li>Product Knowledge: Understand the products handled, including color coding and customer specifications; read and interpret all measuring devices </li><li>Shipping and Receiving: Unload and receive inbound stock shipments and load outbound shipments, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed </li><li>Loading Procedures: Safely load trucks, including proper chaining and tarping of trailers </li><li>Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes in an industrial or distribution environment </li><li>Certification: Valid certification to operate overhead cranes is required </li><li>Education: High School diploma or GED; or 1-3 months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience </li><li>Regulations Knowledge: Understanding of DOT regulations regarding load weight </li><li>Safety and Procedures: Ability to follow safety protocols and operational procedures </li><li>Dependability: Reliable with a strong work ethic </li><li>Learning and Training: Willingness to learn new skills and train others </li><li>Physical Examination: Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility </li><li>Reliability: Demonstrated reliable work history </li><li>Attention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks </li></ul>
