<p>Current Employees: If you are currently employed at any of the Universities of Wisconsin, log in to Workday to apply through the internal application process.</p> <p>Position Title:</p> <p>Inventory Control Coordinator</p> <p>Job Category:</p> <p>University Staff</p> <p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Regular</p> <p>Job Profile:</p> <p>Inventory Control Coord II</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <p>Under the general supervision of the Inventory Control Supervisor, this position is responsible for the storage, distribution, and delivery of goods, packages, and mail across campus. The role also provides operational support to Central Stores and assists with administrative functions within Facility Services. While the position requires a high degree of independence, it involves regular coordination with the Inventory Control Supervisor and the Procurement Agent to ensure efficient and accurate operations.</p> <p>Key Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assists in training lower-level staff and peers, provides guidance on projects; ensures policies and procedures adhere to unit objectives and established strategies </li><li>Generates inventory reports to account for available stock and usage </li><li>Assists in developing, documenting, and implementing operational policies and procedures, and inventory control best practices; analyzes space requirements, layout considerations, equipment utilizations, material handling procedures, and recommends improvements </li><li>Tracks inventory levels and places replenishment orders following established vendor procurement procedures </li><li>Inspects and inventories received items and processes notifications to appropriate entities. Reconciles discrepancies </li><li>Serves as the first point of contact for individuals and groups using various communication mediums and routes more complex inquiries to the appropriate entities </li><li>Shelves inventory and maintains organization </li></ul> <p>Department:</p> <p>Facilities Services -supports the academic mission of the university. The integral core values of the department are Safety, Customer Service, Cooperation, Integrity, and Innovation. A team approach is utilized throughout the department to provide a safe environment and excellence in service. It interacts extensively with customers, campus community, service providers, and outside contractors. The skill, ability and knowledge of the incumbent will have direct and profound impact on the success and satisfaction level in the delivery of services to the campus. In addition, the position regularly interacts with other universities and system-wide contacts. Given the pace of emerging technology, the incumbent must stay in touch with industry/system-wide trends and best practices through high standards with positive and collaborative relationships across the UWSP community.</p> <p>Compensation:</p> <p>$18/hour, minimum, based on qualifications and experience</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via email</p> </li><li> <p>Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with attention to accuracy and efficiency</p> </li><li> <p>Meet eligibility requirements to drive on state or university business</p> </li><li> <p>Safely operate a forklift and pallet jack (training may be provided)</p> </li><li> <p>Use basic computer applications including email, spreadsheets, and tracking/logging systems (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Warehouse Management System)</p> </li><li> <p>Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules and service expectations</p> </li><li> <p>Adapt to changing priorities and respond promptly to service requests</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience in Facilities Operations</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with campus layout and departments (or ability to learn quickly)</p> </li><li> <p>Awareness of safety procedures for lifting, transporting, and operating equipment (e.g., carts, dollies)</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with municipalities, state, or UW-Systems entities</p> </li><li> <p>Experience managing student employees</p> </li></ul> <p>How to Apply:</p> <p>TO ENSURE CONSIDERATION: Applications received by 2/17/2026 are ensured full consideration.
