<p>RESOURCE TEACHER: INTERVENTIONIST - EXTENDED DAY</p> <p>JOB STATUS: OPEN</p> <p>POSTING NUMBER: 00065224</p> <p>SCHOOL YEAR: 2025-2026</p> <p>CALENDAR: TOPS</p> <p>POSTING NUMBER: 00065224</p> <p>LOCATION: 288:LAVALAND ES</p> <p>POSITION TITLE: RESOURCE TEACHER: INTERVENTIONIST - EXTENDED DAY</p> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>To help students develop proficient reading and/or math skills that will contribute to their academic growth.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Teach targeted literacy and/or math intervention to individuals or small groups of students using high quality researched based strategies and resources aligned to Common Core State Standards (CCSS) </li><li>Use data to assist with identifying or selecting the most at-risk students for placement within intervention groups </li><li>Participate in meetings with teachers, administration, and families to discuss student placement and progress </li><li>Assess student achievement through screening, progress monitoring and use of appropriate diagnostic tools and maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student growth </li><li>Use data to analyze instructional needs of students and develop best practices </li><li>Set learning goals and create lesson plans that support continuous academic achievement of students </li><li>Be familiar with current Student Assistance Team (SAT) process / Multi-layered Systems of Support (MLSS) </li><li>Collaborate with the classroom teacher to provide data for student support systems </li><li>Attend Title I supported professional development and/or receive coaching to enhance knowledge of pedagogy and content </li><li>May provide support to classroom teachers regarding best practices in area of specialty </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Preferences:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree </li><li>National Board Certification </li><li>Specialized training in applicable content area or related endorsements. </li><li>Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. </li><li>Flexibility, organization, problem solving skills. </li><li>Interpersonal skills with diverse populations in-person and on the telephone. </li><li>Knowledge of APS community, computer system, financial procedures, and legal requirements. </li><li>Ability to meet deadlines, work on multiple projects, and coordinate the work of others. </li><li>Knowledge of district policies on immunization, medication, first aid, emergencies and child abuse/neglect. </li><li>Knowledge of all laws, regulations and guidelines affecting teachers and students. </li><li>Knowledge of effective classroom management techniques. </li><li>Ability to maintain positive relationships with students, parents, community members and staff. </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Minimal Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Education. </li><li>Valid Level 2 or Level 3 New Mexico Education license. </li><li>Five years teaching experience in an elementary, middle or high school classroom (combination). </li><li>Demonstrate extensive knowledge in core academic subject matter. </li><li>Knowledge of State and District content standards. </li><li>Currently highly qualified at the level of the position (elementary, mid or high school). </li></ul> <p>CONTACT INFORMATION:</p> <p>Contact: Nicole Jaramillo at / misquez@aps.edu</p> <p>APPLY TO:</p> <p>APPLY ONLINE: WWW.APS.EDU, APS Jobs, Certified Application.</p> <p>In addition to providing supporting documents to meet the position requirements, you must also submit an updated cover letter & resume.</p> <p>ADDITIONAL INFO:</p> <p>SALARY: Schedule A</p> <p>DAYS: 190</p> <p>HOURS:</p> <p>START DATE: August 1, 2025</p>
