<p>Facility Operations Supervisor</p> <p>Job ID</p> <p>256353</p> <p>Posted</p> <p>10-Mar-2026</p> <p>Service line</p> <p>Advisory Segment</p> <p>Role type</p> <p>Full-time</p> <p>Areas of Interest</p> <p>Engineering/Maintenance, Property Management</p> <p>Location(s)</p> <p>New York - New York - United States of America, New York City - New York - United States of America</p> <p>About the Role:</p> <p>This individual will be responsible for directing the maintenance and switching operations of very complex electrical distribution switchgear and equipment throughout the facility.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Direct contracted staff of qualified Electricians to operate and maintain the client's high voltage distribution system. </li><li>Direct all switching and protection orders; oversee the issuance of work permits on the high voltage distribution system. </li><li>Ensure that all client and business affiliate maintained high tension systems are operated safely and in accordance with client high tension rules, standards, and all other applicable safety codes. </li><li>Direct the operation, maintenance and troubleshoot the client generator plant and 13.8kV Emergency Distribution System, 480V Automatic Transfer Switches and UPS systems. </li><li>Direct the operation, maintenance and troubleshoot the client electrical distribution system from 13.8kV high tension feeders to 480v distribution boards. </li><li>Observe and approve all tests performed on all electrical equipment prior to energizing. </li><li>Analyze and approve all electrical test results. </li><li>24/7 response to trip-outs and emergency outage requests. </li><li>Coordinate all high-tension work at the client's site, including safe operation of the infrastructure that supplies power to areas throughout the client's facility </li><li>Interact with the client's business affiliate's electrical staff and direct the operation of any high-tension equipment for preventative maintenance and emergency operations. </li><li>Act as the 'Authority Having Jurisdiction' and the client's representative, which involves regular collaboration with Con Edison's District Operators and field personnel. </li><li>Supervise maintenance, repairs, and adjustments of emergency power systems and generators including monitoring and documents load readings. </li><li>Experience operating generators up to 4 MW. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need:</p> <ul> <li>Must have experience in electrical engineering/operations associated with medium voltage electrical systems (15kv or below) including switching. </li><li>Must be able to read and interpret drawings and have equipment switching experience 15kV or below. </li><li>Candidate's experience must include 3+ year of experience in operating/supervising medium to large electrical systems. </li><li>Must be well versed with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and National Electric Safety Code (NESC). </li><li>High school diploma / GED with 8+ years of experience. </li></ul> <p>Why CBRE</p> <p>When you join CBRE, you become part of the global leader in commercial real estate services and investment that helps businesses and people thrive. The minimum salary for the Facility Operations Supervisor position is $150,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Facility Operations Supervisor position is $170,000 annually.
