We strive to create an inclusive work environment that fosters respect and dignity for all.</p> <p>School Adjustment Counselor (1.0)</p> <p>Coelho Middle School</p> <p>Purpose:</p> <p>To develop and deliver social, emotional, and behavioral supports and strategies in order to help students institute positive changes and help them to achieve their fullest potential.</p> <p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Build and support rapport among staff, families, and students</p> </li><li> <p>Effectively apply clinical skills within an educational setting</p> </li><li> <p>Provide school-based individual and small group counseling support to students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs</p> </li><li> <p>Provide conflict resolution support to staff, families, and students</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a member of the school-based Critical Incident Team</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a Student Support and Special Education Team member.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with staff to develop IEPs, Functional Behavior Assessments, Behavioral Intervention Plans, and Building/Safety Plans</p> </li><li> <p>Provide consultation services to staff, families, and students regarding social, emotional, and behavioral concerns</p> </li><li> <p>Provide consultation support regarding the accessibility of community-based medical and mental health services</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain communication with community-based medical and mental health service providers</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with the facilitation of student safety assessments</p> </li><li> <p>Support student transition from mental health facilities/hospitals to school</p> </li><li> <p>Support student transition across grades and academic levels</p> </li><li> <p>Support school-wide initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other responsibilities as deemed appropriate and assigned by a supervisor and/or designee</p> </li></ol> <p>Skills:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Experience with Safety Care.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with students with trauma, anxiety, and depression</p> </li><li> <p>Multilingual preferred.</p> </li></ol> <p>Applications will be considered when submitted via our online application system with POWERSCHOOL UNIFIED TALENT.
