<p>General Summary:</p> <p>Responsible for application of CPT and ICD-10 codes to all procedures performed for a given date of service for The Toledo Clinic, as well as tracking of patients seen and working all eCW claims for denials, errors.</p> <p>Principal Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <p>Example of Essential Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Codes visits utilizing the ICD-10 and CPT codes from patient visit documentation. </li><li>Demographic registration/updates for all patients </li></ul> <p>3) Enters charges into claim entry in eCW</p> <p>4) Monitors, submits, correct all claim activity</p> <p>5) Create workflow processes to ensure accuracy and accountability</p> <p>Other Essential Duties May Include (but are not limited to):</p> <p>6) Assists patients and/or insurance companies with billing and authorization questions.</p> <p>7) Coordinate with providers to ensure all visits are accounted for utilizing hospital call schedules, census/rounding sheets and appointment schedules.</p> <p>8) Other duties as assigned</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of ICD10 and CPT codes and manuals required </li><li>Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame </li><li>Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles. </li><li>Adheres to all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures. </li><li>CPC or CCS-P or able to pass Toledo Clinic's comprehensive coding test </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>HS diploma or GED required. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Medical Coding education </li><li>Previous coding experience </li></ul>
