<p>The Controls Engineer is responsible for project requirements involving some of the latest technologies available with PLCs, robotics, safety integration and lasers. Engineering responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing the controls system (logic software and hardware) to meet machine and integrated system requirements. This team member develops and updates schematics detailing control system configuration, wiring and designing equipment panel layouts in AutoCAD software.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop, evaluate, improve, and document automation processes or processes that could benefit from automation </li><li>Develop and implement process control techniques and procedures for automation used in a 24/7 manufacturing environment </li><li>Analyze the automation processes and identify ways of enhancing the quality, cost, and throughput of those processes </li><li>Work closely with production and quality departments to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees </li><li>Provide technical support to production and reliability departments in multiple locations to trouble shoot and resolve various problems with equipment </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Hands-on experience programming Allen-Bradley SLC500, Control Logix systems, and Rockwell HMI systems and experience with motion control systems </li><li>Knowledge of servo motor systems and ability to manage projects including timeline, costs and other deliverables. </li><li>Proven experience with Computer Numerical Controllers (CNC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) </li><li>Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and Auto Cad </li><li>Strong analytical ability to analyze and solve problems </li><li>Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills </li><li>Data driven problem solving approach including root cause analysis </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering or similar degree preferred</p>
