<p>This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. VHA Physician Total Rewards.</p> <p>Major duties include, but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Manages chronic conditions, evaluates and treats inter-current medical conditions </li><li>Collaborates with a Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) to provide accessible, comprehensive, coordinated, continuous care to an assigned panel of patients </li><li>Performs a variety of disease prevention related activities including gender and age specific screenings, mental health screenings, and health promotion activities. </li><li>Screens for, evaluates and treats uncomplicated common mental health disorders, including depression and common addictions, with referrals made to mental health providers for further evaluation and treatment as appropriate </li><li>Primary care physicians will have responsibility for supervision of or collaboration with primary care mid-level providers </li><li>Physicians are expected to provide clinical oversight and to participate in peer review of other primary care providers through periodic chart reviews </li><li>Primary care physicians will act as surrogates for absent primary care providers when needed, to include review of CPRS view alerts </li><li>Primary care physicians will regular attend primary care staff meetings, departmental meetings and medical staff meetings </li><li>Timely documentation (notes and encounter forms) is necessary in all areas in accordance with facility policy. All administrative work should be completed in a timely fashion </li><li>Clinical reminders should be addressed as medically appropriate.
