<p>Description The Assistant Commissioning Engineer supports the execution of commissioning, retro-commissioning, and energy-related tasks for complex buildings and systems across various markets, including correctional, federal, aviation, manufacturing, healthcare, laboratory, higher education, and commercial buildings.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assists with preparing commissioning plans, specifications and checklists based on Burns & McDonnell standards</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with reviewing designs, equipment submittals, operation and maintenance manual, start-up reports, checklists, and training programs for commissioning plans</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with training operation and maintenance personnel to review operating modes, sequence of operations and specifics of equipment, operations, and maintenance of commissioning plans</p> </li><li> <p>Apply basic knowledge to document commissioning results and performance shortfalls. Collaborate with owner, operation and maintenance, design and construction personnel to recommend remedial measures</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with planning, scheduling, and performing work for small to mid-size projects and supports project teams for large projects and programs</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with the development and refinement of methodologies, tools, and standards in support of an evolving commissioning practice</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in meetings with owner, operation and maintenance, design and construction personnel to understand project goals and schedule to ensure commissioning is properly coordinated</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned</p> </li><li> <p>Complies with all policies and standards</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program required or;</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.</p> </li><li> <p>Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic knowledge in standard civil engineering techniques, principles and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding of site safety procedures, including electrical safety.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with different types of stand-alone monitoring equipment including flow meters, temperature loggers, electrical meters, and others a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding and familiarity with DOE-2, eQUEST, Energy Pro, and other modeling software a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>Engineers in Training-EIT Certification preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.</p> <p>EEO/Disabled/Veterans</p> <p>Job Mechanical Engineering</p> <p>Primary Location US-MO-Saint Louis</p> <p>Schedule: Full-time</p> <p>Travel: Yes, 25 % of the Time</p> <p>Req ID: 254412</p> <p>Job Hire Type New Grad #LI-EAC #A&F</p>
