<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Massry School of Business at the University at Albany, State University of New York, seeks candidates for a non-tenure track position as Lecturer of Management. This position will be within the Department of Management, which is responsible for undergraduate and graduate level (MBA) education in our AACSB-accredited management, entrepreneurship, and human resources concentrations. Our faculty are well-regarded scholars across a diverse set of research areas, and dedicated educators committed to high-impact, student-centered teaching.</p> <p>Candidates should be willing to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in management with an emphasis on business strategy and strategic management. This position will assume responsibility of Massry's undergraduate capstone course program and facilitate its design and implementation across multiple course sections, including supporting other adjunct professors teaching within the curriculum. We are especially interested in candidates with an interest in and/or prior experience with instructing business strategy courses. Further, candidates with an interest or prior experience in academic program development and coordination of high-impact, high-visibility, and/or experiential classroom experiences are strongly encouraged to apply. This position has an expected 3-3 teaching load. Located in New York's capital, the University at Albany offers access to a diverse professional ecosystem, robust funding opportunities, and a high quality of life.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Classroom instruction at undergraduate and graduate level </li><li>Material preparation and class development </li><li>Coordination of capstone program, including meeting with and coaching lecturers, adjuncts, and other affiliated faculty and staff </li><li>Service to department, school, and university </li><li>Other reasonable duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Functional and Supervisory Relationships:</p> <ul> <li>Reports to Management Department Chair; Dean of the School of Business </li><li>May supervise employees as assigned </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>PhD in Strategic Management, Management, Organizational Behavior, or related field from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization held or anticipated by August 15, 2026. Candidates who do not hold the degree by this date will not be considered. </li><li>Applicants must have prior teaching experience in business strategy, strategic management, or a closely related topical area. </li><li>Applicants must address their qualifications for and willingness to lead an undergraduate capstone course. </li><li>Applicants must communicate evidence of high-impact, high visibility, and/or experiential teaching methods. </li><li>Applications must demonstrate an ability to develop an ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community. </li><li>Applicants must demonstrate an ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging, relative to their role. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated interest and/or experience in educational program development </li><li>Prior experience supervising, coaching, or training adjunct lecturers or other faculty </li><li>Documented impactful service to a department, school, university, or broader profession </li></ul> <p>Working Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Typical office environment </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Professional Rank and Salary Range: Lecturer (10 Months), A0, Salary commensurate with experience.</p> <p>The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, or Clery Act, mandates that all Title IV institutions, without exception, prepare, publish and distribute an Annual Security Report.
