<p>JOIN OUR TEAM AND EXPERIENCE ENDLESS CAREER POSSIBILITIES</p> <p>IF YOU ARE AN EXISTING TEAM MEMBER, PLEASE CLICK THE FOLLOWING LINK TO BE TAKEN TO THE INTERNAL CAREER SITE: MOHEGAN INTERNAL CAREER SITE</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>This position is responsible for effectively soliciting and becoming familiar with all accounts within the assigned market segments and/or geographic territory to drive group room nights for positive revenue impact.</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Captures small to medium size group business from assigned market segments and/or geographic territory to surpass revenue expectations of hotel and individual revenue goals </li><li>Initiates and follows-up on assigned leads </li><li>Maintains and participates in active sales solicitation program </li><li>Monitors production of all top accounts and evaluates trends within assigned markets </li><li>Participates in key industry organizations and client events and attends assigned tradeshows </li><li>Invites customers for entertainment and site inspection purposes </li><li>Is an advocate of the company's Mission, Vision and Values on a consistent basis </li></ul> <p>Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Builds effective relationships with internal and external groups to achieve revenue and operational goals </li></ul> <p>Minimum Education and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors' Degree in Hotel Administration, Marketing, Business, Finance or a related field </li><li>Five years of experience in hotel and/or catering sales </li><li>Knowledge of Delphi required, knowledge of Knowland is preferred </li><li>In lieu of a degree and previously mentioned experience, 10 years of experience in hotel and/or catering sales </li></ul> <p>Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication and organizational skills </li><li>Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills </li><li>Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint </li><li>Ability to establish action plans and goals </li><li>Basic understanding of Mohegan Sun budget process </li><li>Overall understanding of revenue management and its utilization to drive bottom line profit </li><li>Possesses sound business judgment, a high degree of personal motivation and a very strong work ethic </li><li>Ability to effectively and strategically manage business segments of responsibility to protect primary revenue stream that comes from gaming </li><li>Ability to handle, anticipate, prevent, identify and solve problems, as necessary </li><li>Thorough understanding of the Mohegan Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment </li></ul> <p>Training Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and procedures </li><li>Must complete the Core Manager Training course </li><li>Knowledge Meeting Matrix, LMS and Passkey systems </li><li>Safety and Fire Training </li><li>SMART alcohol awareness </li><li>Pursuit of learning and self-development opportunities to enhance personal and professional growth </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Office work environment </li><li>Overnight travel is required </li><li>Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time </li><li>Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours </li></ul> <p>This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with this job.
