<p>NOTICE OF JOB POSTING</p> <p>Title: AP Teacher in Biology</p> <p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li>To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a secondary Catholic learning community in accordance with the Cristo Rey Curriculum, Florida State Standards, and College Board standards in the areas of AP Biology including but not limited to: molecular biology, evolution, genetics, ecology, and cellular function. </li><li>Evaluate and grade students' class work, laboratory work, and assignments </li><li>Supervise students by being present at all school masses/assemblies </li><li>Plan lessons aligned to the prescribed standards </li><li>Develop cultural and academically relevant assignments and assessments </li><li>Implement feedback from administrators and instructional leaders regarding lesson plan design and/or implementation. </li><li>Maintain grade books and meet grade reporting deadlines </li><li>Communicate with families regarding student academics and behavior </li><li>Tutor students in need of remediation </li><li>Utilize planning periods for the advancement of student academics </li><li>Attend faculty and department meetings as well as in-service and professional development workshops, as directed by the administration </li><li>Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development </li><li>Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, network policies and school regulations. </li><li>Participate in school-wide culture and faith formation events, including, but not limited to, Faculty/Staff Retreats, Student Retreats and Mission Meetings. </li><li>As needed, provide substitute classroom coverage </li><li>Coordinate and manage the procurement of materials and supplies required for AP Biology laboratory experiments Support students in preparing for the AP Biology exam, focusing on both content knowledge and test-taking strategies </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <p>Bachelors degree (or its foreign equivalent) in Biology, Marine Biology or a closely related subject matter.</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>3 years of experience as an AP Teacher in Biology or a closely related occupation.</p> <p>Skills:</p> <p>Experience to include, 3 years of experience in:</p> <ul> <li>Teaching Secondary School/High School Biology </li><li>Coordinate and manage the procurement of materials and supplies required for AP Biology laboratory experiments </li><li>Support students in preparing for the AP Biology exam, focusing on both content knowledge and test-taking strategies </li></ul> <p>Other Requirements:</p> <p>1 year of teaching experience in a faith-based school (any religious affiliation).</p> <p>Salary: $64,027 per year</p> <p>Work Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Number of hours per week: 40 hours per week </li><li>Daily Work Schedule: Mon to Fri 07.30a.m. to 4:00p.m </li></ul> <p>Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a Level II Background Screening.</p> <p>Employer Name: Cristo Rey Tampa High School at Mary Help Christians, Inc.</p> <p>Work Location:</p> <p>6400 E.
