<p>Job Description</p> <p>ECU Health</p> <p>About ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital</p> <p>ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital is a full-service, 117-bed acute care facility where residents of Tarboro and the surrounding communities can receive a wide range of health services close to home. As part of the ECU Health system of care, the hospital offers high quality care provided by more than 20 medical specialists, rehabilitation services, a birthing center, a cancer center, outpatient clinics and more.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Responsible for creating the first impression of the organization's services to patients and families and other external customers. Performs outpatient scheduling, registration for all patients (emergency, ambulatory, and inpatients) and collects proper data, documents, and signatures to ensure hospital bills will be paid by third party payer or the patient. Serves as first point of contact for physician offices and other customers regarding scheduling procedures at ECU Health.</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>High School or Equivalent (GED) or higher is required</p> <p>Associate Degree: preferred</p> <p>Bachelors Degree: preferred</p> <p>2 years Customer Service is required</p> <p>1 to 2 years of Registration and/or Billing experience within a healthcare setting is preferred.</p> <p>Excellent communication (both written and oral), detail orientation, organization, and multitasking skills required</p> <p>Basic computer skills</p> <p>Other Information</p> <p>3rd shift every other weekend (Friday 11-7am and Saturday 11-7am)</p> <p>General Statement</p> <p>It is the goal of ECU Health and its entities to employ the most qualified individual who best matches the requirements for the vacant position.</p> <p>Offers of employment are subject to successful completion of all pre-employment screenings, which may include an occupational health screening, criminal record check, education, reference, and licensure verification.</p> <p>We value diversity and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
