<p>Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (ECP), Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing - Brookdale Campus</p> <p>POSITION DETAILS</p> <p>The Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing at Hunter College is the flagship nursing school of the City University of New York (CUNY) and prepares collaborative nurse leaders promoting wellness and championing health equity in local and global communities. The Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing (HBSON) invites innovative and visionary nurse leaders to apply for Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. The HBSON is seeking an exceptional leader to serve in this important administrative role, which reports directly to the Dean and is a key member of the School Executive Leadership Team.</p> <p>The Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs will provide leadership in developing and implementing new programs and curricula across all academic nursing programs (BS, MS, advanced certificate, DNP, and PhD), education technology, simulation-based education, interprofessional education initiatives, faculty development related to the academic educator role, as well as student enrollment and services. This senior leader will play a critical role in our collaborative academic environment, working closely with school, college, and CUNY academic leadership in long-range planning, program review, and the development and implementation of school policies, with a particular focus on accreditation, assessment, regulatory matters, curriculum, outcomes evaluation, and engagement with academic-practice partners.</p> <p>The Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs will actively engage with our vibrant academic community and contribute to our mission of excellence in nursing education. The essential functions of this key administrative position include in-person attendance at school, college, and other meetings, as well as other activities and duties that advance our school's mission and strategic goals, which require a physical presence on campus.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>This position is in the CUNY Executive Compensation Plan. All executive positions require a minimum of a bachelor's degree and eight years of related experience. Additional qualifications are defined below by the School of Nursing.</p> <ul> <li>Ph.D., Ed.D., or other research doctoral degree in nursing or related field. If earned doctorate is not in nursing, must have a master's degree in nursing. </li><li>New York State license as a registered nurse required or following hire. Prefer New York State advanced practice licensure (adult/gerontology, family, or psychiatric mental health). </li><li>Five (5) to seven (7) years of success in progressive academic leadership or administrative roles in higher education. </li><li>The successful candidate will have: 1) a strong record of academic, scholarly, and service accomplishments; 2) a proven track record of designing, developing, and implementing academic program initiatives; and 3) experience in managing accreditation processes. </li><li>Will demonstrate outstanding leadership, interpersonal communication, and team building, as well as strong relationship building skills with varied internal and external stakeholders. </li><li>Proven ability to advance change in a complex academic environment through consensus building, collaboration, and effective use of data. </li><li>Prefer academic, scholarly, leadership, and/or practice expertise that focuses on health equity, adult/gerontology, psychiatric mental health, and/or addresses the needs of underresourced communities. </li><li>The candidate's academic, scholarly, and/or clinical experience should align with the school mission of promoting wellness and championing health equity. </li></ul> <p>CUNY TITLE</p> <p>Associate Dean</p> <p>COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS</p> <p>Salary range $205,000 to $245, 232 with the potential for supplemental salary and/or professional funds commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.</p> <p>CUNY's benefits contribute significantly to total compensation, supporting health and wellness, financial well-being, and professional development.
