Apply today to our Surgical Services Nurse Manager and be a part of the innovation of ideas.</p> <p>Job Summary and Qualifications</p> <p>The Surgery Nurse Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.</p> <p>What you will do in this role:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise licensed and non-licensed personnel as assigned in the acute care setting. </li><li>Provide direct and indirect patient care. </li><li>Communicate with physicians/director/coordinator/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patients clinical condition. </li><li>Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. </li><li>Direct actions toward supervision of nursing care given to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with surgical services according to nursing principles. </li><li>Provide for safe transportation of all patients to and from the surgical services departments. </li><li>Seek support from the admissions and PAT departments to facilitate prompt arrival of patients and accumulation of required documentation for all surgical patients. </li><li>Review with the director the short and long-term plans, strategies, and systems that identify and utilize available resources to efficiently manage daily operations and accomplish goals/objectives within specific target dates. </li><li>Review daily the proposed OR schedule. </li><li>Ascertain surgical suite allocation based on surgeon requirements, equipment needs, and functionality. </li></ul> <p>What qualifications you will need:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred. </li><li>Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required. </li><li>3 years of Operating Room RN experience strongly preferred. </li><li>1 year of related clinical leadership experience strongly preferred. </li><li>Member of a professional perioperative?nurse association and CNOR preferred. </li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required. </li></ul> <p>Serving our community for the past 40 years, TriStar Southern Hills has been a leader for a wide range of healthcare services.
