You'll help dismantle and clean turbomachinery and components for all turbocharger families, employing both manual and automated methods. This position also requires collaboration with various Accelleron teams to enhance safety, innovation, and productivity, aiming to boost quality and customer satisfaction.</p> <p>Reporting Line: Workshop Supervisor</p> <p>Day Shift- 5:00AM - 3:30PM</p> <p>Your Responsibilities:</p> <p>The responsibilities listed below highlight some of the primary aspects of this role. However, they do not constitute an exhaustive definition, as additional tasks may be required that are reasonably expected within the scope of this position:</p> <p>Production</p> <ul> <li>Work according to working instructions and adhere to regulatory and company OHS policy </li><li>Use of hand tools, oxygen/acetylene torch, overhead crane and pneumatic/hydraulic tools </li><li>Use of manual abrasive media cabinets, automated abrasive media cabinets and automated wheel blasting machines </li><li>Use of ultrasonic and standard industrial tank cleaners, conveyor parts washers and rotary immersion machines </li><li>Preform daily pre-use checks and light maintenance on tools and equipment </li><li>Maintain a clean and proper working environment </li><li>Participate in division and local training programs </li><li>Adapt to changing requirements, timelines and expectations </li></ul> <p>Continuous improvement</p> <ul> <li>Contribute to development of Phase 1 activity risk assessments </li><li>Participate in workshops to discuss opportunities for improvement, both from a process and technology standpoint </li><li>Collaborate with other Accelleron Teams to find methods of increased communication and transparency between cross-functional areas </li></ul> <p>Health, Safety, and integrity:</p> <ul> <li>Follow both independently, and within teams, company guidelines on HSE </li><li>Participate in reporting of hazards, near misses and incidents </li><li>Contribute positively to company safety culture </li></ul> <p>Your Background:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED </li><li>2+ years of experience in a production environment </li><li>Working knowledge of turbochargers is a plus </li><li>Background in engines or similar mechanical systems is a plus </li><li>Prior experience with industrial machinery and tools is preferred </li><li>Prior experience with remanufacturing is a plus </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills </li><li>Ability to work and contribute within cross-functional teams </li><li>Skill using Microsoft Office products </li></ul> <p>Physical & Other Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Stand or Sit: Must be able to remain in a standing position 80% of the time to perform various functions of the job. </li><li>Walk: Walk and move about on foot often through uneven surfaces. </li><li>Use hands/fingers to handle or feel: Constantly use hands/arms to operate various equipment, including hand and power tools and industrial machinery.
