Your location assigned is based on operational needs.</p> <p>The facilities are:</p> <ul> <li>Turner Guilford Knight: 70000 NW 41st Street Miami, Florida 33166 </li><li>Pre-Trial Detention Center: 1321 NW 13th Street Miami, Florida 33125 </li><li>Metro West: 13850 NW 41st Street Doral, Florida 33178 </li></ul> <p>Shift Details: Full-Time, 8 Hour Shift, Evenings, Rotating Weekends</p> <p>Why Corrections:</p> <p>Miami-Dade Corrections Health Services (CHS) operates under Jackson Health System (JHS) and serves approximately 5,000 patients daily. Patient care is delivered by nearly 400 healthcare employees representing a diverse multidisciplinary team of nurses & nurse support staff, physicians, psychologists' psychiatrists, mental health counselors, social workers and other professionals. CHS supports Miami Dade Corrections & Rehabilitation at 3 facilities in Miami-Dade County and leverages the resources of a large public safety net health system in the areas of education, quality, risk management & compliance.</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Clinical Social Worker, MSW is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of special research studies related to the provisions of social services, counseling, leadership and policy development while working with adult and pediatric patients. The functions both within the hospital setting and in the satellite clinics.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary staff to design and implement appropriate treatment plans, including discharge plans. </li><li>Provides professional counseling and therapeutic intervention to patients and/or families utilizing age specific treatment modalities. </li><li>Collaborates with community agencies which provide services for patients and their families. </li><li>Leads or co-leads patients' groups as needed. </li><li>Submits statistical reports as required. </li><li>Participates in orientation and training of social work and interdisciplinary staff. </li><li>Participates on research projects as required for program planning and evaluation. </li><li>Maintains current knowledge of social work practice including specific knowledge of age-related bio-psychosocial issues. </li><li>Participates in Committees as assigned. </li><li>Supervises students. </li><li>Provides coverage as assigned. </li><li>Participates in hospital, departmental and unit meetings. </li><li>Performs other related duties as required. </li><li>Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise). </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <p>Generally, requires 3 to 5 years of related experience.</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Master's degree in social work is required.</p> <p>Skill</p> <p>Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work accurately while meeting multiple deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations with professional composure. Ability to understand and follow instructions.
