Would you be intrigued to join our team of innovators?</p> <p>As a Professional Civil Engineer and vital member of Rail and Transit Team in the Northeast Region, you'll develop design elements (such as horizontal and vertical track alignments and trackwork components) on a variety of exiting large rail projects so we can shape lasting solutions for the future. Leading and working alongside a team, you'll work on projects from concept to completion. In this position you will be supporting various aspect of track/rail design, calculations and engineering services on both design-bid-build and design-build projects.</p> <p>You'll be responsible for creating design and drawings using software tools and resources supporting our clients' overall project goals. You'll support the development of Contract Documents for Construction; and lead, coordinate, and be responsible for a variety of tasks from concept to completion. You will be counted on to facilitate completion of project assignments with those of other engineers and with other technical disciplines as necessary; and will provide written responses and memorandums as related to project tasks. We'll ask you to develop technical specifications and to prepare construction cost estimates for rail/transit projects. By joining Jacobs, you'll commit to supporting and engaging with these teams, as we work to build a company like no other.</p> <p>Here's what you'll need</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering </li><li>Licensed and registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of New York and willingness to pursue PE in other Northeast states (if does not already hold) </li><li>Has demonstrated years of professional experience on rail and transit projects </li><li>Professional expertise with MicroStation and/or InRail (or AutoCad) </li><li>Knowledge of AREMA and other local railroad criteria </li><li>Experience working with Northeast Transportation Agencies - MTA, Amtrak, NJ TRANSIT, etc. </li><li>Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills </li><li>Demonstrates strong problem-solving mindset working in Team Environment </li><li>Excellent communication skills </li><li>Strong focus on client service </li><li>Coordinating the development of bid documents including plans, specifications, bid items, and construction cost estimates </li><li>Ability to coordinate, develop and assemble bid documents including plan sets and specifications meeting client expectations </li></ul> <p>Posted Salary Range: Minimum</p> <p>115,000.00</p> <p>Posted Salary Range: Upper</p> <p>200,000.00</p> <p>Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
