<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Join South Carolina state government where you can have a meaningful career, incomparable benefits, and a positive work-life balance!</p> <p>In this position you will be responsible for the following:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Printing Accounts Receivable Invoices and sending them to customers by either mail, email or online portals.</p> </li><li> <p>Verifies and is first line contact with customers, Job Readiness Training Unit, or work training center on any invoice or deposit issues/inquiries.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages incoming AR mail and sorts, logs, and distributes checks and cash payments.</p> </li><li> <p>Approves and/or rejects all completed and approved AR deposits.</p> </li><li> <p>Records, purges and shreds AR checks.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors personal and group email inbox providing timely and exceptional customer service.</p> </li><li> <p>Acts as liaison with the bank and State Treasurer's Office concerning deposit issues/inquiries.</p> </li><li> <p>Effectively train new staff and be willing to be cross trained as the department responsibilities and needs change.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors Aging Reports as assigned and needed for any Work Training Center locations.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates the status of accounts with Customers and Center Managers as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes Customer Debt Collection Reports for delinquent accounts as requested.</p> </li><li> <p>Additional duties or projects as assigned.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <ul> <li>A high school diploma and four (4) years of experience in an entry-level accounting or bookkeeping position.
