In lieu Bachelor's Degree, a Master's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in molecular biology, immunology, biomedical engineering, or related field and one (1) year of full-time experience with advanced research related/laboratory activities may be considered.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <p>Advanced degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in molecular biology, immunology, biomedical engineering or related field.</p> <p>Brief Description of Duties:</p> <p>The Senior Research Support Specialist will provide a broad range of complex laboratory and research related tasks. Working under general supervision in support of a research project or program for Dr. Ryan Williams in the Department of Medicine-Division of Nephrology & Hypertension, incumbent will operate equipment, carry out test procedures as well as collate and interpret data using special methods in addition to supporting research lab operation, organization, and development.</p> <p>The successful incumbent will have excellent interpersonal skills, exercising strong organizational and time-management skills with an exceptional attention to detail. Essential for this role is the adeptness to work independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem solving.</p> <p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Develop, monitor, coordinate and manage activities to maintain effective operation of the program. </li><li>Conduct experiments; provide research support by conducting tests using specialized methods for data collection; interpret the collected data. </li><li>Prepare reports, grants, drafts and/or manuscripts based on the collected data. </li><li>Supervisory responsibilities: Incumbent may be responsible for orienting/training others to the project/program and checking work of less experienced employees as assigned. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Special Notes:</p> <p>The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation.
